About Drupal Sapiens

Drupal Sapiens is an initiative born on January 7, 2024, whose contents are mainly focused on the Drupal content manager, its ecosystem and its community; these are the 3 fundamental pillars.

After these 3 important pillars, a series of keys and points to highlight are built, in which we are working to implement and improve little by little:

  1. Dissemination and information related to Drupal and its ecosystem.
  2. Training, courses and learning shared by the community, with the aim of increasing the interest and use of Drupal as a content management platform (CMS).
  3. Accessible to everyone, regardless of language, experience and resources.
  4. Incentivize contribution in Drupal Sapiens through rewards.

A bit of history...

You may be wondering "why", or "how". Let's try to solve those questions at this point by commenting a little about the history of Drupal Sapiens.

Actually the objectives and the initiative is very clear, but how and why did it all come about?

Drupal Sapiens emerged as the idea of a simple personal blog. But let's be honest; a website developed with Drupal as CMS is much, much more than a blog. This was the turning point that led to a brainstorming process to finally baptize the web portal with the name and objectives that were given to them today.

Yes, it could have been a much more epic story, but that's not the case...

Drupal Sapiens Goals

The goals of Drupal Sapiens are concrete but also very ambitious.

It aims to build a community of people who love Drupal and its ecosystem, willing to contribute through different ways (articles, snippets, etc...) and instead get rewards for it, such as achievements, discounts on other courses and trainings or access to certain exclusive resources.

The reasons for this system of achievements and rewards is clear. A small number of people like or are attracted to the idea of contributing without profit, and more so on a platform outside of drupal.org. However, more people may be attracted to the idea of contributing by receiving something in return that can benefit them personally.

In this way and little by little, with the feedback of the people who are joining this community, this reward system will be implemented that will undoubtedly be fairer for everyone.
